Club Fandango Presents a Fierce Panda 25th Anniversary Show.
Genial alt.rock folksters Goldheart Assembly are reassembling to play a special headline show at the
100 Club on September 19th , their first since their star-studded Last Waltz at ULU in late 2017.
The quintet released their melodically-lavished and indeed critically-lauded debut album 'Wolves
And Thieves' way back in 2010 on fierce panda, who are themselves celebrating their 25 th
anniversary, followed by the no less lovely 'Long Distance Song Effects' three years later.
Goldheart Assembly will be playing tracks from both albums as they pay tribute to their original
manager Pat Long, who passed away last year.
As part of that tribute the night will be decorated with music and musicians from Pat's own Heron
Records, and proceeds from the show will go to the St Christopher Hospice in South London.
The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world. Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.
Live music began at 100 Oxford Street on 24th October 1942. It was first played at Mack's restaurant (as it was then known) when British jazz drummer Victor Feldman's father hired the venue on a regular Sunday night to showcase the talents of his jazz loving sons and their band. The band consisted of Victor and his two brothers Robert on clarinet and Monty on accordion. They were joined by legendary British saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore for the opening night.
