Graced with a vocal style and quality that has won her comparisons with some of the great female performers of the post-war years, Amanda Anne Platt is also a song-writer who has won international acclaim as a potent driving force.
With her band, The Honeycutters, their music has been described as Appalachian honky tonk, and being based out of Asheville, North Carolina, that comes close to painting the picture. But, the band is more well-rounded with a richer depth of character than that suggests a factor that has won them a much wider span of appreciation.
With six albums under their belt, Amanda Anne gets a fair share of the credit when the reviewer pens come out.
The 4-piece has built a big UK following from touring here in support of the last two album releases, each of which appeared in end-of-the-year Best-Of lists.
