Bryden's incisive and compelling songs have made her a familiar figure on live stages and radio playlists, with a distinguished catalogue of albums and singles dating back to the early 2000s. But as Nell set about how to follow her most recent long player, 2017's Bloom, something entirely unplanned happened to her. She fulfilled a lifetime ambition to express herself not only as a composer and performer of music, but an an author.
That's why her long-awaited new EP is entitled Soundtrack To Little Wing ? Part 1.
As a collection of songs in its own right, it's a delight, and marks another debut: that of Bryden as a producer of her own work. The EP exudes the live spirit of a band of crack musicians playing together, as they did at Ray Davies' famed Konk Studios, where Bryden and her touring group, recording directly to two-inch tape, were joined by Tom Jones' horn section and a string quartet arranged by Richard Ashcroft's musical director.
A welcoming, traditional community pub where people of all ages can enjoy a great range of drinks in comfortable surroundings.
