Eileen Rose was born in the Boston suburb of Saugus. Having cut her teeth fronting local indie-rock bands Daisy Chain and Fledgling, she moved to England to launch a career as a singer-songwriter and signed for the legendary Rough Trade label. Her debut album, "Shine Like It Does", saw her labeled as "Americana", but she has gone on to explore much wider territory and is known for crossing and blurring musical genres. Critics have compared her to artists from Lucinda Williams and Maria McKee to Bob Dylan and PJ Harvey. Eileen has released 6 albums and tours Europe and the US with her band The Holy Wreck. She now lives in Nashville, TN.
