Kenneth Anger & The Making of 'Lucifer Rising' 1970-81
After his sell out talk on Kenneth Anger & the Occult 60's, Gary Parsons returns to Helgis to tell the follow up story of the making of Anger's epic 'Lucifer Rising', a 28 minute film that would take him 11 years to complete. It's a tale of Crowley, curses & crime (with a heavy dose of Rock'n'Roll thrown in as well). Along the way we meet a cast of characters including; director Donald Cammell, Marianne Faithfull, Bobby Beausoleil and The Manson Family and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and hovering over this the Great Beast himself Aleister Crowley. It's a heady brew of the occult and film making taken to the edge as the decade plays out around it.
