The Glastonbury-based singer-songwriter started gigging in his early teens, playing mandolin and singing in folk/rock/skiffle band Why?. The next 10 years were spent bouncing around on stages at hundreds of venues and festivals around the UK and Europe. In 1998 Why? ended and guitar band Tobermory were formed themselves touring till 2004.
Eventually, in 2010, Nick embarked on a solo career which has so far yielded three albums. When not playing solo shows he can often be found playing mandolin in Bristol-based Gaz Brookfield's Company of Thieves. He also formed his own band, Nick Parker and the False Alarms, a folky/rocky/country affair using guitars, fiddle, pedal steel, banjo, mandolin, cornet, accordion, keys, whistles, pipes, bass and drums, with the various members sometimes switching instruments.
Over the last few years Nick, either solo or with his various line-ups, has played at many festivals including Wickham, Glastonbury and Beautiful Days.
At only 23 years old, Dublin-based Saoirse Casey is already a seasoned live performer. Her first gigs were supporting Declan O'Rourke and she also appears on his orchestral album 'In Full Colour'. Saoirse has been steadily gigging since then, opening for Mary Coughlan, John Smith and Nick Parker. Her debut album 'Lunaria' is an enchanting collection of fables and lullabies
