Josh Harty and Blake Thomas come from a deep rooted history of songwriting where quitting is not an option, poetry is as important as melody, and soul is the only thing that matters in the end.
Harty has released countless acclaimed records and has toured the world singing songs that have been called the work of a true son of the heartland whose bold defiance and riveting delivery channel the essence of American music. (Glide Magazine). Thomas is a bit of a maverick: a songwriter, composer, writer and actor (and co-creator of the popular Minnesota Public Radio live show Take It With You).
When the two come together, their years of friendship and experience shine in a way you can only see when two extraordinary artists have travelled together, gone through the joys and heartbreaks together, have yelled and screamed at each other, and have broken down by the side of the road more times than you can count. You can see their story before they even strike the first chord. They are songwriters who are never going to quit.
The Attic Session, an album that was recorded over one day in Blake's attic in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is set to be released in the UK and Europe in 2020 in conjunction with Josh & Blakes first co-tour of the UK.

By day our Cafe serves delicious home-cooked food, Fairly Traded coffee & tea and homemade cakes & pastries. All with a nod to local and ethical sourcing. We cater for Vegetarians, Vegans and dietary issues, just ask if you need anything not catered for on our menus. We also have a Delicatessen serving our own home-cooked food daily.
On Sunday to Thursday evenings we host the best acoustic music in the City, specialising in Folk, Roots and Americana.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the Cafe is available for private functions, weddings and parties, please call or email for more details.
