Genre : Music - General

Description

Home Counties released their debut EP ?Redevelopment? on Alcopop Records in September 2020, demonstrating their aptness for synth-driven, post-funk anthems that are both lyrically tongue-in-cheek and scathingly satirical. The band combine angular guitar work with furious percussion and have previously toured with the likes of Shame, Sports Team and Pip Blom.

Since forming in January, the band have distinguished themselves as a key act to watch in 2021, with radio support from Huw Stephens and Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Amy Lame and Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music), along with press support from DIY Magazine, Loud & Quiet, NME, Clash Magazine, So Young Magazine, YUCK, Gigwise and more.

Home Counties are Will Harrison (vocals/guitar), Conor Kearney (guitar/vocals), Barn Peiser Pepin (synth/percussion/vocals), Sam Woodroffe (bass) and Dan Hearn (drums).

Description

The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world. Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.

Live music began at 100 Oxford Street on 24th October 1942. It was first played at Mack's restaurant (as it was then known) when British jazz drummer Victor Feldman's father hired the venue on a regular Sunday night to showcase the talents of his jazz loving sons and their band. The band consisted of Victor and his two brothers Robert on clarinet and Monty on accordion. They were joined by legendary British saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore for the opening night.
