WHAT DO YOU CALL THAT NOISE?
Making Plans for Nigel... Senses Working Overtime... Life Begins at the Hop... Mayor of Simpleton... Generals and Majors... Dear God... Sgt. Rock Is Going to Help Me...
XTC is one of the most groundbreaking and influential British bands to have emerged from England's post- punk/new wave scene. While XTC are no more, the power-pop baton has now passed to EXTC ?' the band of legendary original XTC drummer, Terry Chambers.
What's in store? A full set of classic XTC songs, spanning the band's 20-plus-year career, from their Monkees-meets- Captain-Beefheart roots to the pastoral baroque rock of later albums. And all delivered with the same fire witnessed in XTC's gigging heyday, which included worldwide tours with The Police and Talking Heads.
EXTC also features Steve Tilling (vocals, guitar, ex-TC&I ? the band of Colin Moulding and Terry Chambers), Steve Hampton (guitar, vocals) and Ken Wynne (bass, vocals). For the ultimate stamp of approval, the band comes with the support and blessing of XTC main men, Andy Partridge and Dave Gregory. Artists worldwide ? including Blur, They Might Be Giants, Kaiser Chiefs, Everything Everything and Franz Ferdinand ? cite XTC as a major influence.
What do you call that noise that you put on? This is Pop!

TERRY CHAMBERS ? DRUMS. The powerhouse behind XTC, Terry Chambers is one of the world's most influential and respected drummers. With top producer Hugh Padgham (XTC, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel), Terry trailblazed the huge drum sounds that became the hallmark of hits like In the Air Tonight, Born in the USA and Hounds of Love. In 2016, Terry reunited with XTC bandmate, Colin Moulding. Under the guise of TC&I, Terry and Colin released the highly praised Great Aspirations EP in 2017 and Naked Flames live album in 2019.

The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world. Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.
Live music began at 100 Oxford Street on 24th October 1942. It was first played at Mack's restaurant (as it was then known) when British jazz drummer Victor Feldman's father hired the venue on a regular Sunday night to showcase the talents of his jazz loving sons and their band. The band consisted of Victor and his two brothers Robert on clarinet and Monty on accordion. They were joined by legendary British saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore for the opening night.
