It's StonyWords 2022! Stony Storytellers in association with York House come roaring back with an evening of storytelling for adults. One of the great professional storytellers of the UK Sarah Rundle brings her brilliantly irreverent Naughty Japanese Badgers show to Stony Stratford. Now Japanese badgers are VERY NAUGHTY. They tip over bins, they shapeshift, and the things they do are, frankly, unspeakable. Incidentally, Japanese badgers also have unfeasibly large gonads which will not be ignored by the storyteller. It will, of course, all be done in the best possible taste! Ben Haggarty (one of the giants of world storytelling) describes Sarah Rundle's storytelling as "... truly magical... it sparkles with a particularly glorious humour." See our very long and slightly more scholarly blurb below.
The first half of the evening will be 10-15 minute stories from the Stony Storytellers (including Terrie Howey-Moore & Stephen Hobbs). After the interval it'll be over to Sarah for her one hour Naughty Japanese Badgers show. Join us in celebrating National Storytelling Week (29/1/22 - 5/2/22).
York House's cash-only bar will serve you alcoholic and soft drinks. Proceeds from the bar will go to York House projects. The profit on ticket sales will be split equally between Act Out/Up and MK Food Bank. Further information from Stephen Hobbs (Hobbscrazybooks@aol.com) or the York House Centre website (www.york-house.org.uk).
