Queens Of Evil (1970) Screening + Patricia Maccormack Witchcraft Horror Films Discussion Event Title Pic

Description

Monday November 1st, World Wide Weird's host and film maniac Merlyn Roberts and Professor Patricia MacCormack (author of Cinesexuality and occult horror expert) invite you to screening of the stunningly wild and psychedelic 'Queens of Evil' preceded by a discussion of their favourite 70s witchcraft themed horror films. A perfect way to wind up a weekend of unholy partying!

Queens of Evil is a delirious psychedelic fantasy horror from Tonio Cervi, starring Ray Lovelock as a freeloving traveller whos motorcycle breaks down on the secluded woodland property of three beautiful sisters. Lucky for him? Maybe all is not what it seems.

Patricia MacCormack is Professor of Continental Philosophy at ARU, Cambridge. She has published extensively on queer theory, european horror film, philosophy and has appeared for Redemption, BFI, Arrow, Nucleus and Indicator. She is the author of Cinesexuality (Routledge 2008), Posthuman Ethics (Routledge 2012) and The Ahuman Manifesto (Bloomsbury 2020)
