The 100 Club presents?

Resolution, a ten-day festival of all things punk, is returning yet again to it?s spiritual home, the 100 Club, for the 6th year in January 2022. Resolution Festival celebrates the bands and musicians who kick started the punk movement and those who continue to breathe new life into it today.

The festival is 14+, anyone under 18 needs to come along with an adult.

Friday 14th --

A double headliner from The Ramonas and Newtown Neurotics

THE RAMONAS
With over 10 years touring the punk scene as the premier all-girl tribute to The Ramones, 2016 saw The Ramonas launch their eagerly anticipated self-penned material.

Their debut EP ?You Asked For It? (2016) was released in response to fans requests to hear some new material. It was met with rave reviews from across the globe and was a taster of things to come from their forthcoming debut album.

"They are not just a cover band either, but a truly sensational act in their own right." ? Raw Ramp Mag

NEWTOWN NEUROTICS
Formed in 1979 by Steve Drewett, they began like so many others to attempt to get their clumsy fingers around three chords and ape the Ramones who were their heroes.
Sporting Joey Ramone length hair Steve would sneer at cries of "Bloody Hippie" from the audience but after a couple of numbers nobody cared they just went into pogo frenzy.

The early stuff from the band like "Hypocrite" and "When The Oil Runs out" singles were both great melodic punk songs on the type found in the early eighties but both were written prior to the election of the Thatcher monster.

Description

The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world. Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.

Live music began at 100 Oxford Street on 24th October 1942. It was first played at Mack's restaurant (as it was then known) when British jazz drummer Victor Feldman's father hired the venue on a regular Sunday night to showcase the talents of his jazz loving sons and their band. The band consisted of Victor and his two brothers Robert on clarinet and Monty on accordion. They were joined by legendary British saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore for the opening night.
