"Beardy Folk On Tour" features artists appearing at Beardy Folk Festival in June 2022.
The electrifying sound of Birmingham based Bonfire Radicals, a 6 piece (un)traditional folk band, is both intensely creative and irresistibly fun.
They have emerged from the folk/world music scene with a fresh approach to traditional tunes and a host of creative original material.
Expect the unexpected, with global grooves, instrumental fireworks, rich vocal harmonies and delicate a cappella emerging from a melting pot of original and traditional tunes from the British Isles to the Balkans.
Drawing on their eclectic backgrounds, the band chart many divergent influences upon their sound ? medieval polyphony, jazz tinged swing, Canterbury sound, klezmer and all points in between.
Emotive vocals, raucous woodwind and wild fiddle are woven together over a pulsating backdrop of psychedelic guitar, hard hitting bass, and percussive drum beats.

By day our Cafe serves delicious home-cooked food, Fairly Traded coffee & tea and homemade cakes & pastries. All with a nod to local and ethical sourcing. We cater for Vegetarians, Vegans and dietary issues, just ask if you need anything not catered for on our menus. We also have a Delicatessen serving our own home-cooked food daily.
On Sunday to Thursday evenings we host the best acoustic music in the City, specialising in Folk, Roots and Americana.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the Cafe is available for private functions, weddings and parties, please call or email for more details.
