Shy Face Troubadour is a fresh project for Tony Willé?s songs. Previous releases, under his real name, were sometimes subject to clashes with the Dutch country singer of the same name. Juggling his day job as a community musician with playing in bands and touring as a solo artist has been no easy ride but Tony?s enduring love of songwriting has kept his passion for gigging alive. Tony played on two albums by eighties indie band Felt and toured with his own bands, The Day and Parma Violets, while opening for such artists as Jake Thackray and Nigel Mazlyn Jones.
With a bag full of beautiful folksy pop tunes ranging from the achingly beautiful ?The Train? to his latest single ?DIY For Butterfly?, your in for treat. Tony has a love for crafted lyrics and melody inspired by artists such as Nick Drake, the Zombies, Elvis Costello and the Beach Boys.
Tom Robinson recently said: ??And now from Moseley a beautifully crafted piece of topical songwriting from the artist known as Shy Face Troubadour, ?Two Shots In the Arm?... who?s been honing his craft as a songwriter for 30 years, and it shows??
Tony says ??I?m a troubadour, sometimes a little shy, but paradoxically, never more at home than playing an intimate venue where I can sneak a peek at your faces??.
