Songbirds of Americana is the celebration of four American women of Americana music on tour. Ashley E. Norton, (vocals/guitar) Stephanie Groot (violin/mandolin/vocals), Lisa Sanders (vocals/guitar) and Karen ?Brown Sugar? Hayes (vocals), with their beautiful music and interesting careers in music, have joined forces for one epic concert.
After many years living, recording and writing music in Nashville, Ashley E. Norton began to tour around the world with her duo/trio, Whitherward, along with Arizona based Stephanie Groot. They released 6 albums together, many music videos, and have accomplished an endorsement from Subaru Europe in 2018. Recently, Ashley and Stephanie have paired off to start their duo and record their first EP under the title, Lady Psychiatrist?s Booth, with a recent endorsement from Electro-Voice speakers and multiple full band concerts around the Southwest.
Lisa Sanders is a California legend, recently inducted into the San Diego Hall of Fame. She has been writing, singing and producing from her heart in nearly every genre for over three decades, having worked with musical legends including the Truckee Brothers, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Rait, Al Green, BB King and Babyface. With Karen "Brown Sugar" Hayes on harmony, the duo has many accolades and opening spots with artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams, BB King, Al Green and many more.

By day our Cafe serves delicious home-cooked food, Fairly Traded coffee & tea and homemade cakes & pastries. All with a nod to local and ethical sourcing. We cater for Vegetarians, Vegans and dietary issues, just ask if you need anything not catered for on our menus. We also have a Delicatessen serving our own home-cooked food daily.
On Sunday to Thursday evenings we host the best acoustic music in the City, specialising in Folk, Roots and Americana.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the Cafe is available for private functions, weddings and parties, please call or email for more details.
