Stew Simpson has carved a varied career in the arts, including painting, drawing, acting, illustration, performance art, and poetry. He's best known as a singer/songwriter both solo and with his band Hadrian's Union.

Since lockdown Stew has been concentrating on his art, acting and writing, so this is a rare chance to see Stew performing his music. Lauren Eva Ward is a flautist who can really interpret tunes, both traditional and modern, to give a really fresh sound with a huge lift in their music.

From their first encounter with folk music through Wren Music?s Roots programme, Lauren has gone on to continually prove themselves in promoting and performing folk music in multiple contexts. Lauren released their debut EP in 2020, turning their hand to their own arrangements of instrumental folk music. Expect strong flute-driven melodies with thoughtfully arranged accompaniment from guitarist Jacob Houghton.
