The Untouchables come to the new Jamboree in King's Cross, transporting us back to the days of rent parties and rumbas, when the great blues masters kept the dancing going ?til the early hours. Expect an intimate show, drawing you into the place where blues, jazz and Latin rhythms meet.
The band are champions of raw blues, basing their sound on the swinging soul of the great artists who recorded for Chess Records in the 50s. With a string bass, a vintage drum kit, a cranked guitar through a hot valve amp and a wailing harp, they turns any venue into a rocking juke joint.
Reviews
?The Untouchables play sparse, tasteful Chicago blues. No, not blues rock: tight, swinging, focussed, authentic sounding urban blues, with every element honed to its bare essentials in an unostentatious display of taste and restraint. These players have lived and breathed the style until it's so much a part of them that it oozes out of their pores. If you like Little Walter, Bo Diddley or Willie Dixon, then this is as close as you?ll get to seeing them live. Utterly superb."Live Unsigned
"Atmosphere was great, loved the band's sound and interaction with the audience and to see you had the whole room dancing !"
"The Untouchables are an astounding band. Go and see them soon!" Ian McHugh 'Blues is the Truth' Radio show
"Incredible entertainers- the crowd didn't know how lucky they were to be seeing such masters at work?
" a night of pure blues heaven." The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald
