A Wednesday night with Balkan Express at Jamboree!
Influenced by retro recordings of electrified folk from Greece, Turkey, the Balkans and the Arab World, as well as Krautrock and New Wave, Tasos Stamou?s band merge South Eastern Mediterranean tunes with a Synthwave attitude.
Stamou delivers a keyboard-driven time capsule infused with live traditional oriental instruments, collaborating with qanun soloist Konstantinos Glynos for this show.
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
Jamboree is back with a POP-UP adventure in a different venue in Limehouse from December 1st!
