A Friday night of blues, country, americana and indie folk at Jamboree with The King Bees and The Erika Lewis Trio.
Headliners The King Bees are a London-based Blues ensemble that share a love for the early fifties blues sound made popular by the likes of Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter and BB King. Come and join us on a journey of discovery to the roots of western music.
Songwriter Erika Lewis, better known as the vocalist with New Orleans' Tuba Skinny jazz band, has been churning out American originals of her own for the past several years. From classic country to cosmic Americana to dreamy indie folk, Lewis continues to dip her toes more deeply into an ever-expanding pool of roots music styles. Her new record, 'A Walk Around the Sun', is a testament to Lewis' songwriting prowess and exceptional vocal ability. On this tour she is joined by guitarist and songwriter Steven Paris, and multi instrumentalist Leonie Evans. The harmonies and dimension added from their accompaniment will make for a most enchanting sound and show.
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
