John Bramwell formed acclaimed Mancunian band I Am Kloot in 1999, and they released their Guy Garvey (Elbow) produced debut album "Natural History" in 2001. The band went on to release five more studio albums including "Sky At Night", also produced by Garvey, which was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2010. Other releases included a 2006 John Peel Sessions album, and "From There To Here" the soundtrack to the 2014 BBC Miniseries to which they scored the soundtrack as well as a live album in 2015
?I Am Kloot frontman John has been on a never-ending rolling adventure since launching his solo career after the band split in 2016
Travelling in his VW Campervan with his dog Henry, the experience has found John exploring parts of the country previously uncharted. With captivated audiences in some of
the UK?s most loved grassroots music venues, John has been able to develop his solo sound and ideas, at his own pace, in the way he likes, with the fans he holds close.
John?s skilful, widely acclaimed song-writing and unique voice not only fills the basement venues and off-grid gatherings in the country's burgeoning acoustic underground scene but can also be heard echoing in stadiums and halls across the land by request of The Proclaimers, whom John will be opening for again this Summer.
2023 shows will see John performing songs from his number 1 Acoustic chart debut, ?Leave Alone The Empty Spaces?, a handful of songs from his much anticipated follow up album
?The Light Fantastic? and I Am Kloot classics that he has rearranged with cellist Harriet Bradshaw.
John?s sophomore album ?The Light Fantastic? will be released in February 2024.
