Nicola Farnon is widely recognised as one of the classiest Jazz and Swing singers and/or double bassists in the UK.
Singing and playing double bass within her jazz groups she has toured nationally and internationally, playing alongside UK's finest jazz musicians (including Courtney Pine, Dave Newton and Jim Mullen) - and tonight she'll be playing with Sheffield's finest!
They'll be backing her in her latest reincarnation as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist - Nicola and The Made Ups - playing her original soulful seventies sounding songs with Nicola leading from the front on vocals and bass guitar.
Nicola and The Made Ups played a sell out gig here at The Greystones a year ago so buckle up everyone for a night of pure musical joy because Nicola and her insanely talented band are doing it all over again (it's a yearly reunion!) bringing the vibes like never before. Your ears won't believe what they're hearing as the band and their soulful, gospel-infused sound will take you on a journey through funk, jazz, and singer-songwriter fabulousness, all led by Nicola's vivacious energy.
