Soprano: Hailu Ni

Hailu Ni, a soprano from China, is currently a PhD student in Musicology at the
University of Manchester. She completed an MA in Music Performance Studies at the
University of Sheffield. She has actively participated in various competitions and
achieved excellent results. Hailu, a dedicated and passionate soprano with an
enchanting voice, her soulful and ethereal vocals provide a wonderful listening
experience, which is pleasant, airy, and enjoyable. She invites listeners and
performers alike to experience the beautiful melodies and poetic texts of songs.
In 2023, she starts on a concert journey with the theme Singing in Love, where she
drew artistic inspiration and power from different types of love (family and friendship
love, passionate love, altruistic love etc.). The vocal works of the programme have
been elaborately selected from different countries and periods (from the Baroque to
the Modern period). Languages include English, Italian, German, Chinese and
Korean. Through her voice enjoy boats drifting on the waves, the sheep lazily grazing,
the graceful swans and love stories. This is a great opportunity to appreciate the
charm of music from different countries, languages, and cultures.

Piano: Hyuk Namkoong

Hyuk was born in South Korea and moved to Bahrain with his family at an early age. 
He won first prize in the Young Musician of the Gulf, alongside with the Best Pianist
Award and Most Promising Bahrain-Based Musician Award in 2010. In the same year,
he received third prize in the First International Chopin Competition in Kuwait.
Further, he has previously been invited to participate in the Second Aegaeon Art
International Festival in Greece. In 2014, he has performed in a Winners Concert in
the Crescendo Summer Institute in Hungary. Hyuk also achieved the B. Mus degree
from the Royal Academy of Music in 2015.
