?One of the finest songwriters of his generation? (R2 Magazine, UK)
?The heart is open and the words are a tumble of sentiment? (Belfast Telegraph)
?Effortless and captivating? (Irish Times)
Irish songwriter Andy White returns to one of his very favourite venues for an intimate evening of songs encompassing his career as troubadour, poet, and collaborator with the likes of Tim Finn, Liam ? MaonlaĆ, Sinead O?Connor, and Peter Gabriel. Andy will bring with him his brand-new live album, recorded on one of the best days of his life in Abbey Road Studio 2 and produced by John Leckie.
Andy has been writing songs and releasing albums ever since Whistle Test filmed him singing ?Religious Persuasion? on the roof of the highest building in Belfast in 1985. His debut album ?Rave on Andy White? took reviewers? breath away, and over the years Andy has built up a remarkable collection of songs including James Joyce?s Grave, Street Scenes From My Heart, Italian Girls on Mopeds, and the era-defining The Guilty and the Innocent.
Political, poetical, and just damn charming, this is a performance not to be missed. Andy will sing songs from all his catalogue including a selection you won?t have heard live before.
