KOFI BAKER'S CREAM FAITH

The son of infamous drumming legend Ginger Baker not only continues the family legacy, but expands it with outstanding skill, drive and dedication to his craft.

Kofi's first live performance was with his father on the cult British TV show "The Old Grey Whistle Test" - at the age of just six, he proved that he had inherited more than just his father's name. Kofi later toured with John Ethridge (Soft Machine) and performed in London with Steve Waller (Manfred Mann) and Randy California (Spirit). He also toured Europe with Steve Marriot's Humble Pie.

In 2017 he was invited to become an integral part of the Music Of Cream 50th Anniversary Tour, which began in Australia and New Zealand and has subsequently played hundreds of shows across Australia, the US and the UK. On 17 February 2020, Eric Clapton invited Kofi to perform with him, his band and very special guests at a tribute concert to celebrate the life, times and music of Ginger Baker.

Now he is finally coming back to Europe - get ready for KOFI BAKER'S CREAM FAITH!

Description

The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world. Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.

Live music began at 100 Oxford Street on 24th October 1942. It was first played at Mack's restaurant (as it was then known) when British jazz drummer Victor Feldman's father hired the venue on a regular Sunday night to showcase the talents of his jazz loving sons and their band. The band consisted of Victor and his two brothers Robert on clarinet and Monty on accordion. They were joined by legendary British saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore for the opening night.
