A Friday night of buried bluegrass, country, gospel classics, originals and New Orleans jazz and blues at Jamboree!
Starting out as a bluegrass string band, headliners Lunch Special have been captivating audience with their mind-blowing vocals, close-knit harmonies, and rambunctious energy since 2017. Taking inspiration from their diverse musical and cultural backgrounds, the London-based trio have created a soulful, raucous sound of its own kind, and have performed at various major UK festivals in the past years including Red Rooster, Maverick, and Glastonbury. In 2019, they released their debut EP 'Lunchtime Sessions #34'. Their second EP, 'Orphan's Lament' was released in 2021.
In support, Strum & Blow is the contemporary New Orleans-inspired duo of Louise Balkwill and George Simmonds, delivering tight vocal harmonies and blistering trombone and vocal solos over classic New Orleans jazz and blues songs!
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
Jamboree is back with a POP-UP adventure in a different venue in Limehouse from December 1st!
