Description

Sheffield Hits The Smoke with? Rogue Division ? 2022 was the year Sheffield Hard Rock outfit Rogue Division first came onto the scene. Featuring some of Sheffield?s finest musicians ? Ryley Donston (Lead Guitar), Ben Grayson (Drums), Theo Ferreyra (Bass), James Bickerton (Rhythm Guitar) and Will Thompson (Vocals) ? they wowed audiences all around Sheffield with their High Attitude approach to Hard Rock and Punk. Since the band started they?ve played many popular Sheffield venues such as Network, Record Junkee and The Yorkshireman. With every show being unique and exciting, this is a performance you will not want to miss.

Joe King and the Jays were formed in 2021 when front man Joe Ricketts and drummer Josh Dabell started as a two piece out of the ashes of a former band. The trio was completed with the addition of bassist Jack Lathwood in early 2022, with the band persistently gigging around Sheffield and Manchester. September 2022 saw the release of the band?s debut single ?Small Talks? which gained over 10,000 plays in its first week of release as well as attention from magazines RGM and Clunk. In February 2023, the bands second single ?Take Me Back? featured on BBC Introducing Sheffield, helping the band to be shortlisted for Tramlines festival out of over 1,500 acts. The band?s third single ?Love?s Like a Pair of Jeans? was released in August 2023 and since then, the band have gigged relentlessly in Sheffield venues such as Network and Record Junkee. With energetic live performances and bouncing guitar riffs, the band continues to go from strength to strength.

The Wichitas are an alternative garage rock band formed in early 2023 in the small town called Mexborough of South Yorkshire. The loud, noisy and distorted sounds inspired by the likes of The White Stripes and Royal Blood. A duo with immense power and energy playing venues all around Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster The Wichitas are something to experience at least once in your life time. Despite only being together a short time.

Sheffield alt-rcokers The Nothings have come a long way. The band reached it?s final form in October 2023 after the addition of vocalist Greg Cisalowicz, who joined guiatrists Ethan Rai and Clayton Deane, bassist Joe Beighton and drummer Charlie Jones. The boys have joined the alternative/emo revival seen recently, with their influences coming from the likes of Deftones, Nirvana and Type-O Negative. With huge announcements on the horizon, 2024 is looking like a huge year for the young 5-piece.

DJ Black Feather keeps the party going til 2am.

Description

The Dublin Castle is a legendary pub and music venue located 2 minutes away from Camden Town tube station. It has been run by the same family for over 28 years and features 4 live bands every night as well as a great selection of beers, ciders and wines.

There are DJs after the bands on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and a fabulous jukebox in the front bar if you’re after a more relaxed atmosphere.

But what is it that makes the Dublin Castle the long-standing centre of the indie rock universe? Is it because it’s Madness’ birthplace? Because its stage has been graced by everyone from Blur, through Coldplay, Supergrass, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Billy Bragg, etc? Is it because it was no surprise to see Amy Winehouse behind the bar serving costumers? Or Suggs? (who, mind you, tended to ignore costumers and serve himself) Or is it because far from being just another Camden venue it has established itself as an indie rock institution? The answer is that it’s not only because of its musical heritage that people come to the Dublin Castle, it’s because whilst you enjoy a pint, play some tunes on the jukebox, check out the live bands, get your dancing shoes on for our DJs, chat to our friendly staff or even stage-invade a little, you’re inadvertently being part of this movement the Dublin Castle leads, this cultural legacy. Expect no castle battlements. Just pure rock and roll royalty.
