Self-styled as a shouty folk/punk singer-songwriter Jess Silk plays to audiences up and down the UK, on the festival circuit, supporting many well known names among the folk/punk scene and as a headliner in her own right.
Playing hard-hitting sets to festival crowds is where Jess is most comfortable, and so An Evening With Jess Silk will have her stepping out of her comfort zone and bringing something a bit different. With two full length albums, a stack of EPs and an extensive back catalogue Jess will be sharing perhaps some of her more nuanced work, as well as the usual gig favourites (and maybe even a couple of choice covers!) at a rare seated gig at her spiritual home of Katie Fitzgerald?s in Stourbridge.
An Evening With Jess Silk is a chance to hear Jess talk more about her songwriting and inspirations, and to listen to some of her more subdued, yet equally thought provoking, songs that don?t often get an outing in the hubbub of her usual gigs.

Katie Fitzgeralds has built a reputation for live music and parties but it's about more than that its also about history and tradition.
Originally a private house the building is over 200 years old and has been a pub since the 1830 Beer Act.
In the 19th century it would have been home to foundry workers and boatmen and would have looked out across to the Stourbridge canal arm where Foster and Rastrick built the Stourbridge Lion the first steam locomotive to run on rails in the USA.
Originally known as the Golden Lion it later became known as the Stourbridge Lion and then in 2000 it
became our home and was renamed in honour of Trina's grandmother Katie Fitzgerald who was born in Cloyne County Cork.
Trina is related to Irelands most famous hurling player Christy Ring, a son of Cloyne and is also cousin of Donal ag Cusack , Irelands first openly gay sportsman.
