This FREE workshop will focus on Pamela Colman Smith's iconic 1909 illustrations for the Rider Waite tarot deck-come and explore the symbolism and mythology hidden within its seventy-two cards
The Fool, The Magician, The Lovers, The Tower, The Empress, Death, Strength and the Wheel of Fortune are just a few of the archetypal images waiting to be deciphered and understood in new ways.
Incorporating the swords, cups, wands and pentacles of the Minor Arcana- we will work with unique juxtapositions in various spreads -seeing how they can illuminate complex situations-and help us find perspective and resolution in our own lives.
Tarot?s ability to spontaneously mirror our innermost thoughts was summed up by psychologist Carl Jung: ''Synchronicity is an ever present reality for those who have eyes to see'''.
Suitable for complete beginners or experienced readers -this participatory workshop follows on from the Bude Lit-Fest event 'Story Telling and Divination' and offers the chance to experiment further with interpretation- using tarot?s imagery as a springboard for intuition and vision.
