Friday night at Jamboree with The Gator Dog Snappers playing their rollocking take on New Orleans second line jazz, with support from ace Sussex singer-songwriter Alex Jeffrey.
The Gator's band's leader and snare drum player Hannah Davis has studied street music, snare drum and percussion with local musicians in New Orleans and performed with local brass bands in countless second lines and Mardi Gras parades through the French Quarter and beyond. The band are committed to street music and grass roots activism, and filling dance floors at London's top swing dance events.
In support, Alex Jeffrey is a Sussex-based singer and songwriter with an eclectic taste, performing in folk, rock, jazz, and indie-adjacent genres. With catchy melodies, a versatile voice, and his personal, witty and dense song lyrics, Alex provides a show to remember. He is about to release some of his work, so keep an eye on his instagram (@alex_the_musician_ ).
