Sorry, This Event is in the past!
On 5 November 1994 the band did our first ever gig. It was at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford. We were called Flounder, after the flatfish. It wasn't a good name. Captain Sensible was on bass: he lasted two gigs, then got too busy! We went on tour to Germany called Die Erbrechenden Rotkehlchen. The Vomiting Robins. That wasn't a good name either, so we changed it to Barnstormer, and have been called that ever since, with the addition of the 1649 for our latest album Restoration Tragedy. We?ve done hundreds of gigs all over Europe in the last 30 years and thought we'd come back to Oxford for the 30th anniversary, more or less to the day. I?ll be doing a poetry/spoken word set first of course!
