Description

Delighted to be working with Crake again after they wowed us in June. This time they'll be bringing their Humans? Worst Habits LPs to town out via Fika Recordings. Crake?s distinctive combination of gentle alt-folk and folkloric lyrics have received increasing attention of late, with Big Thief?s Buck Meek declaring the unassuming Leeds 4-piece one his favourite bands and inviting them to tour the UK/Europe, leading to a 7? on Saddle Creek?s Document series. Last month James Smith of Yard Act named them ?the best band in Leeds? after he played out their most recent single ?Winter?s Song? on Steve Lamacq?s BBC Radio 6 Music show. They?ve also been receiving plenty of acclaim from tastemaker sites like GoldFlakePaint, Dork, For The Rabbits, Beats Per Minute, Secret Meeting and more.

Sharing the downbeat folk bill are Oxford's Aiden Canaday-led sad dirge folk collective The Cooling Pearls, who play their first show in 2.5 years alongside ethereal freak-folk duo Milkweed and Catgod songwriter Robin Jay-Bard who brings his delciate songs to open the night.
