Southend-on-Sea's immensely popular and forward looking brass band has a rich tradition, dating back over a century.

Merry Christmas singalong. This wonderful singalong has, since its inception, attracted record Priory Park Bandstand crowds. Year in year out, whatever the weather, Christmas revellers muffle up and, with hot flasks, woolly hats and blankets, rock up ready to participate in the magical atmosphere conjured up by the town brass band. Santa usually puts in an appearance, armed with a sackful of goodies to reward the ad-hoc children's choir. Admission is free and song sheets will be provided. You may wish to bring your own chair.
